Sonya (sonamae80) has lived in the Lake Norman area since she was 4 years old! She works for her family business along with her Mom, Dad, and brother. She is married to Neal and they have a daughter named Shelby (6/7/06). They both are really enjoying watching Shelby grow and look forward to her future! Sonya graduated from Wingate University in 2003 with a B/S in Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems. After college she went to work for a commercial mortgage banker in Charlotte. She then decided to join her mom in the family business, and has yet to regret that decision! Sonya enjoys being with her family and friends, shopping, cooking, watching TV, and talking (she LOVES to talk)! As Co-Site Administrator, she is responsible for the overall management of LKNM. |

Lori (oneofeach)was born and raised in Charlotte, NC and is proud of being a native to the area. When she got married in 1996, she and her dh settled down in Huntersville, which is between their home towns. (He's originally from Mooresville). They live with their two children, Justice & Shelby, and their two dogs. Lori is a full time WAHM who keeps kids in her home. Between keeping kids, keeping a household, shuffling Justice to baseball, shuffling Shelby to dance and her LKNM addiction - she stays quite busy! As Co-Site Administrator, she is responsible for the overall management of LKNM. |

Jamie Rippy is a North Carolina native. She spent the bulk of her childhood living in Kannapolis with her grandparents. Jamie is one of six children spanning an age difference of 26 years. She is married to Jason, a BSG Premier Services Team Leader at Wachovia Securities. Jamie and Jason have been married for 8 years and have one daughter, Addison. Jamie spends the bulk of her time working in the homebuilding industry as the controller for a local builder and she is also a licensed real estate broker. She loves to spend her free time working on craft projects and whipping up new dishes in the kitchen. Jamie’s friends often joke that she knows a little bit about everything. She takes pride in that and tries to soak everything she can about as many subjects as possible. |

Carrie (cef5880) and her husband Scott moved to Huntersville almost 2 years ago from Atlanta, GA when they decided it was time to make a change with their Entertainment business and relocate. Before “Mommy-hood” Carrie worked in the hospitality industry for 7 years. Scott and Carrie married in 2004 in Atlanta, GA and are proud parents to Ava (6/2/2005) and Aiden (12/26/06). In her “spare time” Carrie enjoys painting, crafts, walking and reading Goodnight Moon. |

Corinne (drettofamily) relocated to LKN in December of 2005 with her husband (Joe) and daughter (Morgan) to be closer to their "hometown" of Rochester, NY. They moved from South Florida and settled on this area as a halfway point. The family has since welcomed a son (Caiden) and Corinne has stepped down from her full-time position as an educational software Implementation Consultant to spend more time with their children - part time is a perfect fit! When not working, playing with the kids, or sleeping Corinne enjoys reading, music and dancing in her living room and loves to go out for coffee, sushi, lunch or dinner!

Dana Brinkley Gillis (dcbg23) was born and raised in Owensboro, KY and moved to the Lake Norman area in June ’99. She is married to Doug who works as a trainer at Reds Athletic Club in Mooresville. Her life as a mommy began on July 17, 2004 when she became the step-mom to her little wild man Traye. In January of 2007, she also became the mommy to a precious little girl, Cammie. A love of children led her to get her teaching degree in Special Education and Middle School English from Brescia College. She has also recently completed a degree in Gifted Education from UNC-Charlotte. After college, Dana traveled around the country with her job as a nanny. She has taught everything from 5th grade to 8th grade, but recently quit her teaching job to stay at home with her children and become a nanny again. In her spare time, Dana loves to read and do needlepoint and she is working hard at writing a book about her adventures as a nanny. As Recruiting Manager she hopes to share the amazing community of women she has discovered at Lakenormanmommies.com with as many moms as she can. |

Jennifer is married to Robbie and they are the proud parents of Kirsten, who is going to be a big sister in the fall of 2008. Jen works from home as a financial analyst/underwriter for a national healthcare insurance comany covering mid- to large sized accounts in the metro-Chicago area. She thoroughly enjoys being a working mother and wife and in her spare time she likes to read, work on home improvement/decorating projects, and especially, all the fun that comes with being an LKNM. As Sponsorship Manager, Jen hopes to merge the amazing network of LakeNormanMommies with the wonderful opportunities of our local businesses to enhance the quality and overall fun of all our mom-to-mom (and family) events. |

Christi was born and raised in Dallas, TX. After graduating Baylor University, she got a job with EDS and moved to Dayton, OH. That’s where she later married Glenn, then a fellow EDS employee, and native of NC. She left her work as a manager at EDS after having her first child. After spending several years in Dayton, OH and Detroit, MI, the family happily moved southwards to Richmond, VA. Her family moved to NC in November 2006. Christi and her family now live in Huntersville. Her husband works for Lowe’s and Christi is a stay at home mom to their three children. She enjoys being outdoors, dining out, listening to music, cooking, watching television and movies, and reading books. Christi is always up for a coffee, a good laugh, or a girls’ night out, and is rarely completely serious for more than a few moments at a time. |

Pam (pamlittle) moved from Williamsburg, VA to Charlotte in May 2001 and has been living in Denver for almost four years. She is married to Billy, who is a Nuclear Operations Specialist at McGuire Nuclear Station. Exactly nine months after getting married, they welcomed their highly spirited little girl, Lynnlee (8/19/04), into their family. Prior to becoming a SAHM, Pam taught kindergarten and first grade for nine years. She enjoys scrapbooking/cardmaking, boating, spending time with friends and family, motorcycle riding with her husband, and music. Currently, she is addicted to white chocolate mochas! |

She is married to Adrian and they have a daughter, Nikki who was born in January of 2005, and a son, Colin who was born in June of 2007. Jennifer (jlseeley) is a SAHM to her little boy Jack (Jackabear). She and her husband, Ross, have been married since '02 and moved to NC from FL in '04. They just recently moved from Huntersville to Iron Station and are enjoying being out of all the traffic. She's a graduate of UNF with a Bachelors degree in English Lit. In her spare time she enjoys painting and working on house projects and this spring/summer she is going to put her green thumb (or black!) to work and start a garden. She helps moderate the Denver/Sherrills Ford/Terrell Area Group.

Shannon (scvecc) returned to the North Meck area in June 2007 after spending 4 years in Atlanta. She lives in Huntersville with husband, Don (from Pelham, NY), and their two kids, Nicolas and Julia. Upon the move, Shannon “retired” from her senior analyst role at Wachovia to spend more time with her family. She is now a part-time math instructor at CPCC. Before Corporate America, she made every effort to stretch out her studies at UNC-Chapel Hill, where she was also a varsity fencer. She finally left with graduate and undergraduate degrees in math (as well as with valuable bartending experience). Shannon enjoys all things UNC, adding new music to her iPod, playing in a local soccer league, and attending LKNM Huntersville Game Night!

Kathleen (katteck) was born and raised in Illinois. She spent the last 10 years in the Chicago suburbs working as an IT Project Manager. This is where she met Jason. He was a young one, four years younger to be exact. Six months later they were dating, and now they are married with two daughters, Charley (8-7-03) and Jesse (5-20-05). They both wanted to try something new while the girls were young, as well as escape the long commutes and cold weather, so they moved to Huntersville at the end of January 2007. At that time, Kathleen also decided give the stay at home mom job a try. It has been a transition, but so far, so good. No matter where she lives, she'll always be a CUBBIES fan!! And as they say in Chicago: There is always next year. |

Tracy was born in South Africa, and studied Textile design at Cape Technikon. She has been married to her hubby for 12 1/2 years now. They have 3 great sons, Ryan aged 13, Alec 10 and Rhys nearly 3. Their family moved to the UK in 1995, when Carl worked for the Ford World Rally team.
They then moved to the US in December 2006. Carl works for Michael Waltrip Racing. Tracy was qualified as a Breastfeeding Peer Support worker in 2005, and has worked in the community, helping nursing mothers with all aspects of breastfeeding, especially emotional support.

When Robert and Teri married, Robert became a instant Dad to Teri's three children, Morgan (26), Jason (24) and Allyson (17). She and Robert went on to have two children of their own. Caroline (9) and Elijah (6). Teri was 40 and 43 when she had her last two children. Teri is a full time WAHM who coordinates Teri Kidz Consignment Sale. Teri enjoys thrift shopping, cooking, and service in Children's ministry at her Church. Teri's family now lives in Mooresville and loves the Lake Norman area. Tena got pregnant within four months of moving and was finally able to quit her management job when Mitchell was two. Jennifer and her husband are both from this area. They have 2 children, Braeden (3 ½ ) and Barrett (2). She is a teacher. She has always had an interest in natural living, but it became more so when she was pregnant with her first child. She had Bradley births, both kids were breastfed and she did (and still does) a lot of babywearing. She loves teaching, but when she's not with her students, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially trips to the beach and the mountains. Her hobbies include scrapbooking and making hairbows.

Jenny (jks) was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. She has also called Baltimore, MD; Washington DC; the Berkshires in Western Mass; Newcastle-upon-Tyne and London, England; Roanoke, VA; and (currently) Cornelius, NC: home. Jenny studied dance (history & criticism and production & choreography) at Goucher College and dance, film, communications, and arts management at Hollins University. She has worked with Video American, Orpheum Cinema, Jacob’s Pillow Dance, Dance City (NDA for NE England), Contemporary American Theater Festival, and Kathak at the Crossroads. When not studying or working, she attended film, theatre, and dance festivals throughout the US, Canada, and Europe. Jenny met her amazing husband, Chau (Sam), on eHarmony. They were married in Vegas shortly before welcoming their first swirly baby, Parker, into the world. Jenny has traded backpack for diaper bag and is currently a SAHM. She still tries to keep up with her peeps in the dance world while keeping up with the dishes. |

They have three children -- Amy's oldest, Alexa, is 19, and they have two small boys -- Hunter (5) and Carter (2). Amy moved to the Lake Norman area in 1999 from Yorktown, VA. In her "previous" life, she marketed engineering and architectural services to federal, local and state governments. She became a SAHM in 2003 and homeschools both her boys. Amy enjoys reading pop fiction, watching Grey's Anatomy, cooking, boating and camping.

She would like to help other Mommies cope with and understand all of the confusion that comes with having a Special Needs child. She is one of those people who can never seem to sit still, and you can usually find her chasing her son! |
